1950's Mutual

These movies came out in 1956 and 57  so I was Mutual age--12+-- when I first saw them.  It was a big deal for us, a novelty, to have movies specifically on current Church topics.  They were reel-to-reel films and we watched them in the cultural hall at MIA.

Even as a young girl my attitude was a little jaundiced about these movies, but I still believed their messages.  In fact, when Roger asked me out in HS, even though he was an OK guy,  I wouldn't go out with him because he wasn't a member of the Church.

Part of the interest in watching them now is seeing the old, familiar clothes, the girls in pony tails and dresses or turned-up collars and 50's hair styles.

The Army one stars my cousin, Bert Pack!
